Felting and song in the Pyrenees

Nuno felting is where a fibre passes through silk or a cloth with an open weave to produce a unique piece of textile art.  

Lorraine will take you on a felting experience, where delegates will have the chance to create a unique piece.

A four day introduction to wet felting leading to each participant producing two pieces of art.  Lorraine will take you through the process, from carding the raw wool to building a piece of artwork based on your design.  It is hoped that each delegate will leave with two pieces of art.

So to the song.  Song can be used to give a balance in the movement needed in felting.  In the past song often accompanied the manufacture of cloth.

During the sessions delegates will have the chance to experience how song can affect the art.

If the weather is inclement then the course will be held inside our barn, otherwise it will be outside in the sun so please bring a sun hat
